Guided Trail Rides

Our guided trail rides are a wonderful way to explore and enjoy your state park. We offer 1, 2, 3-hour, and all-day guided trail rides. Trail rides are subject to weather and trail conditions.

Historic Ethel Trail

Historic Ethel Trail

(approximately 1 hour)
$37.00 per person

Departs at 10:00 a.m., Noon, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Our trail rides are excellent for beginner and experienced rider alike. We have an excellent range of horses, which suit all skill levels. This tour runs on our wilderness property inside the State Reserve, and includes some shady, wooded trails. The price includes an orientation so you feel comfortable with a handle on things before we leave. A nice peek at the wilderness on a beautiful forest trail!

Oak Hammock Trail

(approximately 2 hours)
$62.00 per person

Departs at 9:00 a.m., Noon and 3:00 p.m. - Summer Season
Departs at 9:00 a.m., Noon and 2:00 p.m. - Winter Season

This is a great "in between" length of ride for the whole family - when one hour just doesn't seem like enough. This trail ride is through woods of oak and long leaf pine. The price includes a riding orientation prior to your tour - no need to worry if you're a rookie! We'll show you what you need to know. Our two-hour ride has a bit of everything!

Glen Trail

Want an entire morning or afternoon of trail riding? You've got the undivided attention of your guide, who is full of park information! This trail ride is suited to all ages and experience levels. This ride is over gently rolling hills, through oak forest and stops by a lovely lake so you can stretch your legs. It is a nice blend of peaceful and entertaining. The length is perfect for those who want explore deeper into the wilderness, without the stiffness of a longer ride. Ride includes a riding orientation before you go.

Wild Country Ride
(approximately 6 hours)
Minimum of five riders required $157.00 per person

Wild Country RideThis full day of trail riding lasts up to 6 hours, depending on the abilities of the riders. We pick one of several wilderness trail systems - from simple to challenging, based on your needs. Just bring a delicious lunch, full of great things, and we’ll stow it in your saddlebags, for a peaceful break on the trail! It’s an all day journey through the wilderness of the Reserve’s trails, and you’ll enjoy the solitude of our vast wilderness. An exhilarating feeling of freedom! The price includes a riding orientation, your guide, a great horse, your pommel bag and saddle bags for packing your lunch, and of course, plenty of photo ops! Call for more info on this fabulous day out in the wilds of the Wekiva River Basin!

Take a trip back in time where you can slow down, enjoy, and experience a 30 to 45 minutes picturesque horse-pulled wagon ride through the pine and oak forest of Rock Springs Run State Reserve. Our knowledgeable wagon guides will entertain you with tales of the history of the areas while showing and describing the native plant and animal life. Meet our beautiful matched teams of Belgian draft horses and learn how things were done in days gone by. Come discover the old Florida; you might just discover yourself in the meantime.
