Summer Horse Camp

Saddle up for summer camp!

If your child likes horses, they will LOVE a week at our summer camp! Rock Springs Riding Ranch summer horse camp is a camp created for children ages 9-15. It is designed to give kids an opportunity to learn hands on instruction in caring for horses. There will be a ratio of 4 campers to 1 counselor. They will learn the basics of horsemanship including grooming, tacking, the body language of horses, body parts, horse handling, safety, nutrition and riding. Included in our fee are activities, games, water fun day of canoeing in the Wekiva River, swimming at Wekiwa Springs, camp T-shirt, photo of each child, with the majority of their time spent with the horses, either instructional or riding. An environmental education session will be included, conducted by a Park Ranger. As a benefit to our teen campers, we have designated 2 weeks as "Teen Only" weeks. All of this will be offered by an authorized Florida State Park Visitor Service Provider in our beautiful Rock Springs Run State Reserve and Wekiwa Springs State Park.

Camp Fee is $395.00 per camper

Session 1: Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13

Session 2: Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 20

Session 3: Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27 *** Teen week ages 13-15

Session 4: Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11

Session 5: Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18

Session 6: Monday, July 28 through Friday, August 1 *** Teen week ages 13-15

Session 7: Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8

Session 8: Monday, August 11 through Friday, August 15
